A highlight of a visit to Las Maravillas and the Costa de la Luz is the endless choice of wonderful beaches. If you want to walk, sunbathe, surf, swim or just watch the world go by there is a beach for you all year round. Here are some suggestions but there are many more to visit including in Cadiz, Bolonia and Tarifa.
Cabo Trafalgar
This is a great walk anytime up to the lighthouse past all the surfers and kite surfers. Depending on the weather conditions the beach is a great spot to watch all the activity on the water.
El Palmar
This is the closest beach to Las Maravillas. It starts just south of Conil de la Frontera and carries on to the lighthouse at Cape Trafalgar. There are all the activities you need there including shops, bars, restaurants, surf schools and even a bar with a swimming pool. At the far ends of the beach there are clothing optional areas. Plenty of action in the summer and wonderful for walking in the cooler months.
La Fontanilla
This is a very family friendly beach near to Conil de la Frontera. It is an excellent destination in the winter months when you can have a lovely fresh fish and seafood lunch in one of the restaurants with your feet in the sand! A definite place to visit all year round.
Barossa
This is yet another beach which is great to visit all year round. In the summer months there are may beach bars to choose from with excellent facilities day and night including Atenasplaya and Mojama Beach.
