Welcome to Las Maravillas

Relax and unwind at Las Maravillas, located on the Costa de la Luz – a wonderfully unspoilt stretch of Atlantic coastline and countryside.

Beautiful and comfortable villa in great location 5 stars

4 adults and 3 teenage girls all wanted to stay longer in this lovely villa. As one noted, its not often that brochure pictures undersell a place but as first time visitors, we were really impressed with the place as soon as we arrived. The house is iteself is comfortable and well equiped (thankyou for providing a mjoito muddler!). There are lots of great places inside and outside the villa for eating or socialising together but also for sneaking off for a bit of peace and quiet. There were minor squables over who got the hammock, a particular favourite of mine.

The house was less isolated that we expected but still tranquil and we enjoyed walks around the quiet lanes nearby. Having La Patria restaurant just a few short steps away is a great bonus. We had a walk to one of the ventas in La Muela one morning for a cool drink. We’d also recommend the nearby pizza place, which took us a bit of time to track down but was well worth the effort.

There is plenty to do within a short drive of the villa: trips to Vejer were regular but we would also recommend Cadiz and whale watching trip from Tarifa.

All in all, a great holiday, and a beautiful villa that we’d highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back, hopefully for a longer trip.

Perfect villa for sun and the fabulous views 5 stars

This is a fantastic villa for anyone wanting to relax, recharge their batteries and soak up the sun.

The setting is fabulous, the views, particularly watching the sun set over the sea from the back terrace (cool drink in in hand), are amazing and the villa is very comfortable and stylish. The terraces on all sides means you can eat outdoors throughout the day.

The area around Patria and the Costa de la Luz is beautiful and the beaches are amazing – what is great about this villa is the sheltered pool, which means that even if the wind is doing its thing, you have somewhere to lie in the sun or plunge in the pool – surely better than doing battle with an umbrella or windbreak!

Restaurant Patria, only about 100m from the front door, is friendly and serves delicious food, and the owners speak impeccable English. There are plenty of other local restaurants (pizza, beach bars and restaurants, traditional tapas) in La Muela, Vejer, El Palmar and beyond – the owners provided plenty of information, recommendations and directions.

You need a car, but driving isn’t arduous – particulalry as the major roads have recently been upgraded – and you soon get used to driving through narrow streets in Vejer (if not, there’s a large carpark at the botton of the town which is free and safe).

I would throughly recommend this villa – it was a real treat to stay there, and I hope to return soon.
